Children's publishing company Scholastic Media announced on Monday the release of its its very first line of interactive children’s storybooks for iPad.
Each entry in the series features a variety of interactive elements that allow children to learn word pronunciation and meanings, change narrative variables, and participate in educational mini-games in the context of each story.
The first three titles to be available as part of the "Touch & Tilt" series, I Love You Through and Through, The Magic School Bus: Oceans, and Go, Clifford, Go!, provide re-playable and fully interactive reading experiences for young children.
Leveraging on the unique technology of the iPad, these "Serious Games" allow the youngest of children to read and play independently on the iPad – seamlessly combining how they naturally want to interact with the story and characters with the capabilities of the platform to provide hours of reading and play.
